Web Services
o what exactly do we do?
Through technology and Web expertise, we help you take advantage of the Web, turning it into a marketing, advertising, PR, promotional and sales vehicle that is totally unique and cost effective.
We can provide a free proposal for any budget. Usually we offer a tier proposal, or a "Chinese Menu" proposal, so you can see what you get with several different budgets.
Your domain name is like a street address. Your design is the storefront or office, and what Fingerprint Web Concepts specializes in is making that office or storefront a place that will attract both new and repeat business. If you don't have an existing site, or if you need a redesign, we will provide you with captivating Web design as well. However, that's just the jumping off place.
"If you build it, they will come" does not necessarily apply in the world of the Web.
If you want the Web to work for you, you'll have to build something that people need and want. Not many people have time to just "surf" the Web, visiting pretty sites that have nothing to offer. Research shows that the vast majority of people log onto the Web to find specific information. When you become the expert provider of the needed information, this wins you a good reputation, positive exposure, and business. In addition, depending on your business, you might want to offer automated interactivity to your audience. This is extremely individual to each industry and company.
Once we build a site that is indeed marketable, we proceed to market it through site and page optimization, online tools and strategies.
In order to work, this type of site requires talented content providers, expertise in Web marketing strategy and online infastructure, and coordination of designers and programmers. The first step is to make an expert/research site that many people will visit for many reasons. A site must also be constantly maintained and updated. It's en ever-evolving process.
There are three basic types of Web sites that an individual or a business can have:
~ The Business Card Site: This site has your company name and address, contact information, some other basic details such as history of the company, a glimpse at your products or services, and maybe even some graphics or photos. This type of site is helpful if people want to look up your address or get a bit of background information on your company before applying for a job with you, sending you sales information, or stopping in to buy something.
~ The Storefront Site: This type of site has a Web catalog, a shopping cart system and online payment options. It's a Web store, and it can work for you whether you've got a brick and mortar location or not.
~The Expert/Research site: This site is all about public relations. It ideally has 100 pages or more of information that people are looking for. When they find that information on your site, you become an expert that potential and existing customers, as well as the world at large can trust.
~ The Combination Site: You can combine all three types of sites, so that people come to your site to get information related to products you just happen to sell, and then buy those products from you as well.
While we can write, provide content and design, and develop marketing strategies for all of these sites, our greatest expertise is in the expert/research or combination models.
Many of our clients started out with the business card site and now want to expand the content on those sites. This may require some visual changes as well. We can work with your designer (brought in by you or recommended by us), to coordinate the strategy of the site so that the design and the functionality/navigation and the marketing strategies all mesh.
Some of our clients know exactly what they want. They call us up and say "I need an advertising campaign, a weekly column and a monthly newsletter." Others know that they need to take advantage of the Web, but have no idea how to do that. Below are some example of services we provide, but don't let your imagination stop there. Our best work comes from developing very individual content and strategies for very individual companies. Drop us a note to tell us what you do, and we'll send a menu of possibilities in proposal form.
